At first the humans are caught unawares at the sudden sinking of cities and think that the planet has become unstable, but soon they learn the truth that they are being invaded by a subterranean humanoid species that wish to take up living on the surface. The Locusts on the other hand use large burrowing worms to sink the surface cities that belong to the humans. As winter approaches the city, the Cogs get ready for an all out offensive against the Locusts. A good, solid background on all the characters has also been established due to the consistency of the development team.Īll through the season the Gears have been at war with the Locust Horde, weather conditions and terrain not being taken into consideration as it is a fight for existence.
Stories from the first game till the third version have been consistent in their continuity and believability.
